Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte is seeking a part-time PRN exercise specialist to provide exercise and lifestyle programming in outpatient rehabilitation. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized programs and ensure safe, effective activity prescriptions per ASCM guidelines.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field and ACSM Exercise Specialist or equivalent certification (within 12 months).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, or related field.
• ACSM Exercise Specialist or similar certification required (must be completed within 12 months of employment).
• BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Present education on exercise for adult/geriatric populations.
• Develop participant goals with weekly/monthly team reviews and implement recommendations.
• Evaluate progress and modify exercise prescriptions as needed.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with physicians and therapists to ensure safe treatment.
• Teach group exercise classes as needed within normal hours.
