Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist for Autumn Lake at Salem County in Salem, NJ. You will evaluate residents, set goals, and provide task-based therapy to promote independence in daily activities.

There is strong collaboration with the care team, supervision of COTA, and meticulous documentation. PRN coverage is arranged per facility needs, with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Occupational Therapist license.
• Strong clinical reasoning and individualized treatment planning skills.
• Effective communication and timely documentation.
• Skilled nursing or post-acute experience is helpful; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate daily living performance, upper-extremity function, cognition, and endurance to determine treatment needs.
• Create individualized goals that account for residents' prior abilities, current challenges, and discharge plans.
• Provide task-based therapy for dressing, bathing, toileting, and functional transfers.
• Assess adaptive equipment needs and train residents and caregivers in practical techniques for safe task completion.
• Supervise COTA treatment, review outcomes, and modify plans of care as residents progress.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and discuss care recommendations with nursing and other rehabilitation professionals.
