Job summary

The Healthcare Resort of Plano, TX is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab program. This post-acute care facility values compassionate care and teamwork, supporting geriatric clients through recovery.

You will perform screenings, develop care plans, deliver skilled therapies, document discharge summaries, and collaborate with patients, families, and care providers. New grads welcome; OTA license required.

Qualifications

• OTA license is required.
• Open to COTAs at all experience levels.
• New grads are welcome!

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care, developing appropriate plans.
• Deliver skilled, medically necessary rehabilitation interventions.
• Assist with regular standing, walking, lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehab plan (manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities).
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries ensuring regulatory compliance.
