Job summary

Dublin Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehabilitation team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will implement individualized treatment plans to help residents improve ADLs and promote functional independence.

Qualifications include an Ohio COTA license, an OTA degree, and prior SNF/LTC rehab exposure.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the State of Ohio.
• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong documentation, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress accurately and promptly.
• Educate residents and family members on adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and assistive equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive therapy environment.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, including Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Nursing, and Social Services, to provide comprehensive patient care.
