Job summary

The Birch Healthcare Center in New Hampshire is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in a SNF setting. You will help patients reach maximum functional performance and develop home programs to support independence.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, writing treatment plans, coordinating with the care team, maintaining patient records, and teaching families and caregivers energy conservation and safe transfer techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
• Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association required.

Responsibilities

• Administers evaluations and writes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with standards.
• Maintains timely and accurate patient records and reports.
• Directs support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.
• Administers treatment programs to increase patients' functioning.
• Designs individualized therapy for adult learning-disabled patients.
• Develops home programs and instructs patients or families.
• Participates in patient support groups with other team members.
