Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Master’s level program in Occupational Therapy.
• Current licensure with the New Mexico State Occupational Therapy Board; BLS before employment.
• Greater than one year of experience preferred, but new graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled evaluation and treatment of functional mobility, motor function, muscular strength, sensation, balance, social and environmental needs.
• Create an appropriate plan of care with measurable functional goals, considering psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Provide documentation that meets AOTA and other regulatory guidelines and bill for charges in a timely manner.
• Perform family/caregiver/patient education to increase independence upon discharge.
• Develop an appropriate discharge plan including discharge location, level of assistance, assistive device needs, and community resources.
