Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and quality of life. You will work with physicians and a care team to evaluate needs and develop individualized therapy plans.

Deliver hands-on, evidence-based interventions, monitor progress, document outcomes, and educate patients and families. This role offers meaningful growth within a supportive, mission-driven health system.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (OTR) Occupational Therapist Registered, or (OT) Occupational Therapist, or Bachelors Degree, or Doctorate Degree, or Masters Degree

Responsibilities

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing therapy plans with physicians and the care team
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans, and ensuring thorough documentation reflects outcomes
• Educating patients and families to build understanding and engagement throughout recovery
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions and exceptional patient experiences
• Leading by example and guiding therapy assistants or students while upholding the organization’s mission
