Job summary

Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC, seeks an Occupational Therapist PRN to evaluate patients, develop care plans, and provide rehabilitation services aligned with diagnoses and prognosis.

You will educate patients and families, monitor progress, document outcomes, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and mentor therapy assistants while upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current North Carolina license to practice Occupational Therapy is required.
• New graduates are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe transitions of care and excellent patient experience.
• Lead by example by mentoring therapy assistants or students and upholding the hospital’s mission and values.

Education
