Job summary

Select Medical seeks a per diem Occupational Therapist (OT) for the Gainesville, FL area. The role supports inpatient post-ICU services at Select Specialty Hospital with PRN scheduling and no weekend shifts.

The compensation is $49.00 per hour, with eligibility for typical employee benefits consistent with per diem arrangements. Responsibilities include discharge planning, supervision of OTAs and students, and delivering individualized therapy programs while monitoring patient progress.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), as well as OT and COTA students
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services
