Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Georgetown in Kentucky is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for PRN/As Needed weekday and weekend coverage. You will provide therapy services, assess patients, and develop plans of care.

This role includes supervising OT assistants, educating patients and families, supporting discharge planning with adaptive equipment, and ensuring compliance with licensing. KY state licensure and BLS within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in occupational therapy.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• KY State Licensure for Occupational Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients to develop, recover and maintain occupational skills.
• Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills. Design the plan of care including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Document subjective and objective findings of patient progress; monitor and modify the plan of care; seek consultation as needed.
• Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services; provide information on adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervise and delegate care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians as per laws and standards.
