Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Georgetown is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a PRN basis. The OT will provide services to patients to develop, recover, and maintain occupational skills, and will design and implement treatment plans with appropriate modalities.

This role requires KY licensure and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. The position offers diverse clinical exposure in a 75-bed acute care hospital with supportive supervision and alignment to Lifepoint

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• KY state licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover and maintain occupational skills.
• Assesses patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills; designs plan of care with type and frequency of treatment.
• Implements treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Documents patient progress; monitors and modifies plan of care; seeks consultation as needed.
• Educates patient and family/caregiver about deficits and plans for discharge from therapy services.
• Provides information on adaptive equipment and support programs; participates in discharge planning.
• Supervises and delegates care by assistants and technicians per licensing laws and standards.
