Job summary

Hireology seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) for a PRN position in Texas. You will evaluate residents, develop personalized treatment plans, and support independence through ADLs and IADLs.

In this role, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and ensure documentation and compliance with regulations. Prior SNF experience and strong communication are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to evaluate their condition and impact on daily activities.
• Assess patient evaluations and test results.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to maximize ADLs and IADLs.
• Assess home environments and recommend modifications.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training for independence.
• Deliver treatments per established plan of care.
• Monitor response and modify interventions with the team.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
• Complete documentation in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Attend meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.
