Job summary

Inova Behavioral Health - Merrifield is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a PRN position. The role is Monday through Friday with days that vary, and flexibility to cover a few weekdays each week is a plus.

You will evaluate, plan, and implement occupational therapy services for patients in a behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, is licensed as an OT, and has BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist
• BLS certification from American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department policies regarding evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and care teams while completing administrative tasks.
• Uses treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations and adjusting treatment plans.
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and status.
