Job summary

Inova Behavioral Health - Merrifield is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a full-time, day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm. The OT will assess, treat, and document patient progress, collaborate with the care team, and customize treatment plans to each patient’s needs within Behavioral Health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Licensure as Occupational Therapist required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department policies regarding evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff and care teams while completing administrative tasks.
• Demonstrates essential skills in treatment modalities and protocols while adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and status.
