Job summary

Luxe at Jupiter Rehabilitation Center in Florida is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver skilled therapy, evaluate residents, and guide discharge planning. You will design rehab plans, educate families, and coordinate with the care team to promote independence.

The position emphasizes functional recovery, safety, and community reintegration. Eligible candidates hold an MSOT, NCOT, and a valid state license, with supervised experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of National Certification Examination.
• 1 year of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years.
• Valid OT license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Remediate IADLs related to discharge environment, such as meal preparation or managing home/finances.
• Train in functional mobility, e.g., meal prep using an ambulatory device.
• Prepare client and family for community reintegration with activities at discharge sites.
• Assess need for home modifications and safety equipment to reduce barriers at discharge.
• Instruct residents and caregivers in positioning, restraints reduction, and skin integrity.

Luxe at Jupiter Rehabilitation Center is looking to hire an Occupational Therapist (OT)! Job Duties:

• Remediating instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) related to the patient’s discharge environment, such as preparing a meal or managing one’s home or finances
• Training in functional mobility, such as how to prepare a meal while using an ambulatory device
• Preparing the client and family for community reintegration (as appropriate for the client’s discharge site) with activities such as public dining or emergency response management
• Assessing the need for and recommending potential home modifications and safety equipment to reduce barriers and promote safe functioning upon discharge
• Instructing residents and caregivers in techniques to improve positioning, reduce the need for restraints, and maintain skin integrity

Qualifications:

• Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Successful completion of National Certification Examination
• 1 year of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years
• Valid OT license in the state of practice
