Baptist Health in LaGrange, KY is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to support our occupational medicine practice. The MA will coordinate direct patient care activities and provide clinical support to providers.

Duties include greeting patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical history, performing EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, medication reconciliation, and EPIC charting. The role requires the ability to communicate with pharmacies, insurers, patients and physicians while upholding

Qualifications

• Direct hands-on patient care including vital signs and history.
• Experience with EMR and documentation.
• Completion of MA orientation and clinical competency assessment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Check in patients and record vital signs.
• Obtain patient medical history information.
• Document medications and history in EPIC.
• Coordinate communication with pharmacies, insurers, patients and physicians.
• Provide clinical support to providers.
