Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking an Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty member for PRN assignments in Orlando, with travel to Lake Mary as needed to observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs.

The position requires an MSN, OB nursing experience, and an active multi-state RN license, plus the ability to pass drug and competency tests while delivering quality instruction and evaluation for pre-licensure nursing students.

Qualifications

• MSN is required for clinicals and labs.
• Minimum of 2 years' recent obstetrics nursing experience.
• Active, current, unencumbered RN license with multi-state (compact) status.
• Must pass a drug test and competency testing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive student relationships.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs.
• Remain current with trends and developments in nursing practice.
• Maintain compliance with program accreditation requirements.
• Uphold the university's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission.
• Travel to student sites in Orlando to observe performance.
• Support the program across all areas aligning with the institution's philosophy.
