Job summary

Advocate Health in Elmhurst seeks a part-time phlebotomist to join our OB/GYN department on a PRN basis. You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and ensure accurate labeling and timely processing for newborns to adults.

The role requires 1 year of phlebotomy experience, basic computer skills, and strong communication and customer service abilities. Typical shifts include Tuesday 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. in Elmhurst and Thursday 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. in Naperville.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience required.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard software.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens per protocol.
• Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens.
• Respond to calls and assist with inventory and supplies.
• Instruct staff in phlebotomy and data entry.
• Provide care appropriate to patient age group.
