Job summary

VPFW is seeking a PRN Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to support our obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound imaging. The role requires performing a wide range of OB/GYN studies, documenting findings, and coordinating with providers to support timely clinical decisions.

Strong independence and patient-centered care are essential. The candidate should have 2+ years of independent OBGYN sonography experience, ARDMS OBGYN registration, and BLS certification; NT credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of independent OBGYN sonography experience with proficiency in GYN and all OB trimester scans.
• ARDMS OBGYN registered is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• NT credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures on patients as directed.
• Record findings and forward images to the reading physician in a timely manner.
• Obtain and document all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure.
• Review patient charts to confirm medical history and ensure readiness for imaging.
• Complete all required written and electronic documentation, forms, and medical record updates promptly and accurately.
• Maintain adequate ultrasound supplies, follow cleaning protocols, and ensure equipment is properly cared for.
