Job summary

Coralvita in Richardson, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Nursing Supervisor (PRN) to lead nursing operations on assigned shifts at a 20-bed LTACH. The role oversees nurses, coordinates patient care, and upholds a safe, collaborative clinical environment.

Day and night shifts are available. You will mentor staff, support recruitment and staffing plans, and participate in regulatory readiness and quality initiatives to ensure excellence in patient care.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Current, active Registered Nurse license valid for practice in Texas.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from a hospital-approved provider.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and patient safety practices.
• Ability to make independent decisions and respond effectively to changing patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations, staffing assignments, and nursing care to meet patient needs.
• Monitor patient care standards, evaluate care delivery, and address clinical concerns promptly.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff managing complex patient needs.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Coach and mentor nursing staff; support orientation, competency development, and performance evaluations.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, staffing plans, and productivity goals.
• Supervise nursing operations in the absence of designated nursing leadership.
• Support regulatory readiness, infection prevention, patient safety, and performance improvement activities.
• Address incidents, document concerns, and implement actions to reduce risks to patients and staff.
• Protect patient rights and maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality.
