Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to provide patient care at our Mt. Sterling, IL Health Center. You'll work during clinic hours including early mornings, with duties across exams, procedures, care planning, and patient education.

We require an active NP license, MSN, ANCC/AANP certification, and prescriptive authority where applicable. Expect collaboration with physicians and ongoing documentation, plus opportunities to enhance care through coaching among staff.

Qualifications

• Active NP license to practice in Illinois.
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (MSN).
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP).
• DEA license with prescriptive authority as applicable.
• BLS qualification; ACLS may be required by contract.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists when needed.
• Maintains accurate health records and documentation.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
