Job summary

Premise Health in Riverwoods, IL is hiring a Full Time Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care and Occ Health) to provide care to client employees and their dependents at our on-site Health Center.

Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. You will conduct exams, perform procedures, develop care plans, order tests, coordinate with physicians, and educate patients. This role requires state NP licenses, national certification, and ongoing clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license
• Nurse Practitioner license/certification to practice
• State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable)
• DEA license (Federal)
• Narcotic/Controlled Substance license as required by state
• National certification (ANCC or AANP)
• MSN or higher with nursing designation
• BLS/ACLS certification as required by contract scope
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in ambulatory or occupational health

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans and records progress.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date health records.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
