Job summary

Armor Health is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Lackawanna County Prison in Scranton, PA. You will provide primary care under indirect supervision to a specified patient population in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Current NP license or eligibility to practice.
• CPR certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum two years of NP experience.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Able to pass pre-employment Level 2 background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent primary care in a correctional healthcare setting.
• Perform medical exams, diagnoses, treatment, and health education.
• Obtain histories and develop care plans using POMR format.
• Supervise and coordinate patient care staff as needed.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and treatments.
• Contribute to health policy planning and procedures.
