Responsibilities include:

• Provide direct nursing care under supervision of an RN or physician, in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and facility policies

• Deliver care according to residents' individual plans and current physician orders

• Maintain residents' dignity, privacy, and rights at all times

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams

• Participate in facility inspections and audits as needed

• Provide emergency support measures, including CPR

• Report any suspected violations of resident confidentiality or information security

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State
• A Certificate in Vocational Nursing
• 2 years’ experience in Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and maintain a positive and professional attitude
• Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferred
• Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet)
