Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Student Nurse Intern approval letter from the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
• Current enrollment in an accredited RN Idaho Nursing Program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction of an RN
• Reports observations regarding patient condition/changes to the RN in a timely manner
• Collects patient data under the direction of the RN according to unit policy
• Documents patient information and patient care given consistent with hospital and unit standards
• Performs only those functions approved by the Idaho State Board of Nursing and does not exceed the Board-approved scope of practice and the hospital Nurse Intern Program

Education
