Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Pocatello, ID is seeking a Nurse Intern for variable shift, PRN availability. Under RN supervision you will provide basic patient care, document care and report changes to the RN.

Opportunities span Med Surg, ICU, Labor & Delivery, Orthopedics, Post Partum, Progressive Care, Ambulatory Surgery and Behavioral Health. The role requires High School diploma or equivalent, active Nurse Intern approval with the Idaho State Board of Nursing, enrollment in an RN Idaho Nursing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Student Nurse Intern approval letter from Idaho State Board of Nursing.
• Current enrollment in an accredited RN Idaho Nursing Program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction of an RN.
• Reports observations regarding patient condition/changes to the RN in a timely manner.
• Collects patient data under the direction of the RN according to unit policy.
• Documents patient information and patient care given consistent with hospital and unit standards.
• Performs only those functions approved by the Idaho State Board of Nursing and does not exceed the Board-approved scope of practice and the hospital Nurse Intern Program.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Intern, under the direction supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), performs basic patient care activities and related services in compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures, legal and regulatory standards.
