Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health PA Adult Services is seeking PRN RN or LPN to deliver quality nursing care to adults with IDD and special needs at our Berwyn campus. This on-site role offers flexible 4, 8, 12, 16 or 24 hour weeks, with weekday and weekend shifts and minimum 24 hours per month.

You will work with a dedicated health services team, collaborating with the coordinator to provide comprehensive health care, monitor health needs, and support high-quality services under Devereux

Qualifications

• Requires RN or LPN license to practice in PA.
• Position is PRN/part-time with flexible hours.
• Healthcare experience with adults with IDD or special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients and families on health, wellbeing and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with Health Services Coordinator to provide nursing care.
• Monitor and document patient health needs and medications.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide nursing care and treatments as required.

We Offer

• PRN schedule: weekdays: 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am and weekends: 7a-3p, 7a-7p, 3p-11p, and 11p-7a.
• Flexible hours from 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 16 hours or 24 hours a week. Minimum of 24 hours a month .

• Pay range LPN $32.00 - $36.48/hr RN $40.00 - $45.60/hr

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health PA Adult Services provides programs and services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our main campus is located in Berwyn PA. Our dedicated team of over 800 staff ranging from highly-specialized clinicians and nurses to recreational and direct support professionals, all work toward one common goal - the happiness, self-fulfillment and social integration of each adult in our community.

As an LPN/RN, you will work in collaboration with the Health Services Coordinator to provide consultation nursing services to Community, Campus, and Vocational program clients. The LPN/RN will serve as a nursing expert and guide staff to implement programs focusing on high quality health care services. You will identify and monitor assigned Individuals’ health needs. The LPN/RN implements a priority of care and takes appropriate measures to meet those needs, in accordance with established nursing procedures and regulations.

Job Responsibilties

• Educating clients, families and others on health, wellbeing and disease prevention.
• Attending residents’ meetings as needed, Provides health related update to team and family as appropriate.
• Communicating with physician’s regarding client’s needs, the nursing assessments and recommendations.
• Collaborating with team members of the treatments to ensure the client’s well-being.
• Performing assessments/evaluations for potential clients and create nursing care plans as needed.
• Work as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care, implement individual nursing care plan.
• Provide basic patient care or treatments such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, massaging, or performing catheterizations.
• Measure and record patient’s vital signs, administer medications and maintain information in electronic health system.
• Provide training to staff.
• Completing audits as per our regulatory requirements.
• Implementing necessary diet changes when applicable .
• Ensuring physical , medical, and immunization requirements are completed as per our regulations.
• All other duties as assigned per the Devereux standards of care by the Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager.
