Job summary

St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging per ARRT and NMTCB standards, under Radiation Safety guidelines.

You will work with radioisotopes and ensure ALARA practices while maintaining patient privacy and dignity. The role requires certification and an associate degree; you will operate cameras and related equipment, optimize image quality across age groups, and communicate findings to Radiologists.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNMT and ARRT-NM/ NMTCB certification.
• Associate degree required; current radiologic technologist credentials.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications obtained within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Produce images per ARRT and NMTCB standards with ALARA practices.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine cameras and related equipment effectively.
• Ensure diagnostic quality across neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Explain procedures to patients and coordinate with radiologists.
