Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Tech to perform nuclear medicine exams in accordance with regulatory and department policies. You will work with radiologists, cardiologists, nurses and staff to ensure timely, high-quality imaging and patient safety.

Responsibilities include operating nuclear medicine equipment, completing forms, assisting with IVs, labeling and validating PACS images, and maintaining strict radiation safety and decontamination

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RT Radiologic Technologist or Radiographer credential.
• Vocational School Graduate required.
• ARRT-R Radiography or CNMT Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuclear medicine exams per protocol on various body parts.
• Utilizes Nuclear Medicine equipment and accessories proficiently.
• Completes history forms and technologist exam sheets.
• Stocks procedure rooms with required supplies and checks lab results as needed.
• Performs data entry in Meditech and ensures PACS images are correctly attached.
• Verifies doctor orders and follows written orders in patient charts.
