Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for PRN night shifts at the Stephenville facility. The role involves verifying orders, reviewing records, and applying age-appropriate respiratory care assessments with a focus on patient safety and education.

The ideal candidate holds RCP/RRT credentials, BCLS, and neonatal resuscitation training with a willingness to complete NRP/NRPA within 90 days. Collaborative teamwork and high-quality patient care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program.
• 1 year of Med/Surg or Critical Care experience preferred.
• RCP certification required.
• RRT certification required.
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care.
• ACLS preferred.
• NRP required within 90 days of hire.
• NRPA required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain/verify physician orders for therapy and validate appropriateness.
• Review medical records and obtain pertinent medical history.
• Evaluate patient using age-appropriate assessments and testing.
• Determine and document patient response and progress.
• Educate patient and family on treatment plans and safety.
• Maintain bedside and ventilator alarms awareness.
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare staff about care needs.
• Administer medications safely per guidelines.
• Document treatment sessions and education per regulations.
