Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-level and specialized care in the NICU. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires a Texas nursing license (or eligibility), BLS certification, and at least two years of NICU experience. This is a PRN position with defined shifts and holidays in a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current Texas nursing license or eligibility to practice in Texas.
• Minimum 2 years NICU RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• Manages the nursing components of patient/family education.
• Communicates with team, coworkers, patients and families and confirms understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures accurate and timely written patient documentation.
• Administers medications and IV therapies safely and accurately.
• Assumes responsibility for performance and professional development.
• Uses the nursing process to deliver quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
