Position Details:
  • Title: PRN PET CT Technologist
  • Compensation: $50 - $55 per hour, depending on experience
  • Schedule: PRN schedule (as needed basis)
  • Reports to: Director of Radiology
Essential Job Functions:
  • Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders, applying independent judgment and established policies.
  • Educates patients and families regarding procedures, demonstrating professional behavior and fostering teamwork.
  • Produces high-quality images, maintains accurate documentation, and prepares images for interpretation.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures as applicable.
  • Performs equipment quality control, troubleshoots issues, and maintains equipment performance.
  • Maintains a safe environment, adhering to safety policies.
  • Upholds ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities, including confidentiality.
  • Ensures departmental workflow efficiency, manages supplies inventory.
  • Performs procedures independently, adhering to policies and protocols, serving internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to provide coverage in multiple departments as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • 1-2 years' experience in PET CT preferred.
  • Service-oriented, flexible, proactive, self-motivated, quick learner.
  • Ability to work in strict compliance with procedures and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Additional Details:
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
  • Work environment is a clinic setting on an as-needed basis.
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, manual dexterity, mobility, and visual acuity.
  • Travel may be required with mileage reimbursement.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required unless exempted for health or religious reasons.
