**Job Summary:**

The MRI Technologist performs all MRI procedures in accordance with established department policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. Participates in on-call rotation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Performs all magnetic resonance imaging procedures according to established department protocols, including patient preparation, technical settings, and image processing.
  2. Ensures patient safety and comfort, including proper use of restraints and monitoring for signs of distress.
  3. Administers intravenous contrast media following protocols and maintains accurate documentation.
  4. Performs venipuncture using sterile technique.
  5. Processes, records, and archives images, ensuring timely and accurate transmission to PACS.
  6. Maintains equipment and reports malfunctions, performs quality assurance checks.
  7. Communicates effectively with hospital staff and physicians regarding patient information and procedure details.
  8. Demonstrates competency across age ranges from neonatal to geriatric, respecting patient privacy and confidentiality.
  9. Provides patient education tailored to age and understanding level.
  10. Completes all required documentation accurately and promptly.
  11. Participates in a positive team environment, demonstrating professionalism and technical skills.

**Technical Capabilities:**

Knowledge of MRI safety procedures, cross-sectional anatomy, and image processing. Ability to perform quality assurance and equipment maintenance.

  • Analyzes problems using technical judgment.
  • Supports team members and contributes to a collaborative work environment.

**Position Qualifications:**
