Job summary

Optim is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our elite imaging team in Sylvania, GA. The role supports evenings and weekend shifts as needed and requires ARRT registration and CPR/BLS certification.

You will review MRI screening, explain the process to patients, and ensure comfort and safety throughout the scan. The successful candidate will hold an Associate’s degree in MRI (preferred) with at least 2 years of experience and be able to input data, position patients, and follow imaging

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in MRI preferred with a minimum of 2 years.
Must be ARRT registered and in good standing.
CPR and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Review MRI screening questionnaires with patients and verify MR safe vs. MR unsafe implants.
Explain what to expect during the MRI scan and address patient questions.
Input patient information into the MRI scanner with accuracy.
Position patients on the MRI table while protecting their dignity.
Ensure patient comfort and adherence to scanning protocols.
Follow CDC standard precautions for venipuncture and MRI contrast dosing.
Assist patients off the table and inform that results will be sent to the ordering provider.
Send images to PACS with a brief patient history for the Radiologist.
Dispose of confidential information in the proper shred container.
