Job summary

Lee Health in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Radiology MRI technologist for PRN shifts to perform MRI procedures and ensure high-quality diagnostic images. You will operate scanners, monitor patients, and follow safety protocols under radiologist supervision.

Applicants must graduate from a JRCERT/ARRT approved MRI or radiography program, hold Florida licensure, and maintain BLS; ARRT registration or eligibility is required. Prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography or MRI degree program.
• BLS (American Heart Association) required.
• ARRT registration or eligible required.
• Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs only.
• MRI degree for non-radiology techs.

Responsibilities

• Performs all MRI procedures and maintains knowledge of MRI equipment.
• Operates MRI scanner and injector to produce diagnostic images.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort while delivering quality imaging.
• Assists with venipuncture and patient transport as needed.

Summary

Performs all MRI procedures and maintains a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the MRI area. Safely operates the scanner and injector in order to produce diagnostic quality MR images. Understands the computer software of the MR scanners and maintains competency in MR area. Consistently applies working knowledge pertaining to MR anatomy and patho-physiology to produce a high standard of quality images while under the direction of a radiologist. Provides appropriate and safe patient care. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participates in staff/student orientation and training. Performs venipuncture for appropriate exams. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed.
