Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a per diem Mental Health Clerk to join our team at the West Tennessee State Penitentiary in Henning, Tennessee. The role focuses on routine documentation in the Mental Health Department, including creating, organizing, scanning, faxing, and filing files to support timely review and processing.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, with medical records or medical office experience preferred, CPR certification, and familiarity with medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of medical records/medical office experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Medical terminology knowledge and/or medical terminology course completion preferred.
• Computer/Data Entry experience.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Process and organize documents in the Mental Health Department.
• Create, organize, scan, fax, and file files to facilitate retrieval, review, and processing.
• Review documents/transactions for correctness and completeness and address problems or deficiencies.
• Maintain calendars, schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Tennessee Department of Correction.We are currently seeking a per diem Mental Health Clerk to join our team at the West Tennessee State Penitentiary located in Henning, Tennessee.The Mental Health Clerk is responsible for the routine processing of documents in the Mental Health Department, according to prescribed procedures. This includes accurately creating, organizing, scanning, faxing, and/or filing files to facilitate retrieval, review, and processing. Additional responsibilities include reviewing all documents/transactions for correctness and completeness and taking any necessary action to appropriately address any problems, errors, or deficiencies.
