The role performs routine to complex laboratory tests across major clinical areas and generates findings reports under general supervision. The successful candidate holds an NAACLS-accredited MLT program or equivalent, with applicable credits or military training; certification within 180 days is required unless exempt.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and successful completion of NAACLS-accredited MLT program or equivalent.
• Alternative pathways require specified chemistry/biology credits and training or recent accredited lab experience.
• Certification within 180 days of hire is required unless exempt for prior staff (per policy).
• Medical Laboratory Technician certification (MLT) preferred or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs routine tests in the medical laboratory.
• Tests may range from routine to complex and involve major areas of the clinical laboratory.
• Creates reports for findings and ensures validity and accuracy of results.

Education

Associate's degree + NAACLS-accredited MLT program

Associate’s degree + 60 credits incl. 6 chem & 6 biology + 50-week US military medical lab training

Associate degree + 60 credits incl. 6 chem & 6 biology + 3 years lab experience

Physician Enterprise: Laboratory Sciences degree (chem/physics/biology/clinical lab)
