Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Medical Lab Technician to join our clinical laboratory team. You will perform tests and procedures with independent judgement and ensure accurate results using quality control materials.

Requirements include registration as a clinical laboratory technician or medical lab tech, an associates degree with 12 months training, and at least one year hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered as a clinical laboratory technician or a medical lab tech
• One year of hospital experience preferred
• Associates of science degree with 12 months training period required.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and procedures in the clinical laboratory with independent judgement and ensure accurate results.
• Responsible for proper use of quality control materials and evaluation of test results.
• Participate in continuing education, competency and proficiency testing.
