Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Petoskey, MI is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in our busy clinic. You'll play a key role in patient care, ensuring smooth operations while measuring vital signs, preparing patients, and completing necessary documentation.

Schedule: PRN As Needed - 0 - 40 Hours Weekly - Monday - Friday

Clinic is open from Monday - Friday, 8 am - 7 pm & Saturday & Sunday, 8 am - 5 pm

Job Description

A Day inthe Life

• As a Medical Assistant, you will complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic. You will work alongside the provider to make sure our patients are taken care of, and the clinic runs smoothly!

You will be the first point of patient care within the clinic. You will room and prepare patients according to clinic specific checklists or procedures. You will measurepatient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse (manual and automatic), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and other patient care which can vary based on clinic.

You will complete required patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc.

You will assist with day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care which can include assisting fellow teammates and providers when necessary.

Qualifications

What’s Required

CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.

NON-CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
• One year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in a provider/patient support or Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson healthcare.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
