Cardinal Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support in an outpatient setting. This PRN position requires bilingual Spanish proficiency and a focus on patient care documentation and procedures.

The role supports in-office procedures, patient education, and coordination between providers and patients, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Formación

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Certified or eligible for CMA within 2 years of employment.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Prior EMR experience; Spanish bilingual a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with in-office procedures.
• Provide patients with information to prepare for procedures.
• Administer injections, treatments or medication.
• Maintain supplies and par levels; reorder as needed.
• Keep exam rooms stocked and clean; maintain sterile environment.
• Gather and upload medical records for upcoming visits.
• Answer calls; triage or schedule as needed.
• Check in/out patients and schedule follow-ups.
• Act as liaison between provider and patient.
• Respond to patient messages and calls.
• Attend work regularly and punctually.
• Contribute to team efforts and meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Clinical Care Delivery provides high quality, patient-centered care focused on diagnosing, treating and managing care while ensuring the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the practice. The Medical Assistant performs clinical support services, assists with clerical duties and maintains patient care documentation in medical records. This position is responsible for providing professional care to patients in an outpatient setting. This is a PRN opportunity with no guaranteed hours. In addition, this position requires someone who is bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist with in-office procedures.
• Provide patients with necessary information to prepare for in office or hospital procedures.
• Administer patient injections, treatments or medication.
• Maintain a par level of supplies, ensuring supplies are reordered as needed.
• Maintaining well stocked patient exam rooms.
• Maintain a clean and sterile environment.
• Gather and upload necessary medical records for upcoming patient visits.
• Answer incoming phone calls and triage or schedule as necessary.
• Check patients in for their appointment and out post visit, schedule next follow up as needed.
• Serve as communication liaison between provider and patient.
• Respond to patient messages and calls.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Perform any other functions as required by management.

Qualifications

• High School graduate, or equivalent, preferred
• Certified or eligible for certification within 2 years of employment as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment, or completion of a Medical Assistant program
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite, preferred 1-3 years of experience
• Prior EMR experience, preferred Spanish bilingual

Anticipated pay range: $23 per hour - $31.50 per hour
