We are currently seeking a dedicated and flexible PRN Medical Assistant to join our team and support our clinical staff on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred, but not required.
• Experience circulating in the OR is a plus.
• Ability to take vital signs, record patient histories, administer medications, and assist with minor procedures
• Scheduling appointments, handling billing, processing insurance claims, and managing patient records
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in medical aesthetics through ongoing education and professional development.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate client records
• Professional demeanor with a client-first mindset
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Works collaboratively as part of a team.
• Respectful towards patients and co-workers. Empathetic to patient needs and concerns.
• Knowledge of electronic health records and thorough documentation skills
• PRN (as needed)
  
  

Responsibilities

• Maintaining patient examination rooms, operating room, recovery room, and utility room in patient ready status by ensuring that all instruments are in operating order and all supplies are adequately stocked/logged
• Placing patients in examination rooms, operating room, and recovery room, as necessary. Instructing, positioning, and draping patients as required for examination or treatment
• Completing patient medical history and taking patient’s vital signs
• Assisting physicians or the nurse in administering patient care and treatment procedures
• Communicating appropriately with patients and ensuring that patients understand care plans to include but not limited to pre-procedure and post-procedure care instructions.
• Providing appropriate staff members with necessary information for proper continuity of patient care
• Maintaining timely and accurate patient charting
• Assisting in the front office duties as necessary to include greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, Checking patients in & out, preparing charts for next business day, providing skin care products and instructional paperwork
• Assist physicians and other clinical staff in the maintenance of protocols as outlined by accreditation agencies.
• Following protocol as outlined by accreditation agencies and professional organizations to maintain compliance by the Practice
• Participating in continuing education & trainings in order to maintain all professional and state registrations, certifications, and licensure
• Any other duties as assigned
