Job summary

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium is seeking a Registered Nurse (Med-Surge) for a PRN/As Needed role in Anchorage, AK. The RN provides professional nursing care and supports operations of the Alaska Native Medical Center and related programs.

A strong emphasis on clinical standards, collaboration with care teams, and adherence to nursing ethics guides daily practice. Required is an Associate Degree in Nursing with ongoing continuing education; Alaska RN licensure and BLS are necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: An Associate Degree in Nursing. Equivalent knowledge, experience, education, or training may be substituted for education.
• Must have participated in 30 hours every 2 years continuing education in nursing in general, 16 of which are in the specific area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing services to accomplish the individual patient plan of care using the nursing process.
• Supports the operations of the Alaska Native Medical Center and programs.
• Evaluates one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and relevant statutes and regulations.
• Interacts with peers in a Shared Governance model of nursing practice.
• Delivers timely and effective nursing care according to established standards.
