Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a PRN registered nurse at the beginner practitioner level to provide professional nursing care on an assigned unit, following established procedures, protocols, and regulations. The role includes coordinating care with other disciplines and may require specialized skills depending on the unit.

The RN will act as primary nurse, safely administering prescribed treatments and documenting patient responses.

Qualifications

• Diploma or associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Less than 1 year of relevant nursing experience required.
• Current RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care on the unit following the nursing process.
• Administers prescribed treatments and medications safely and independently.
• Documents patient responses and progress in the EMR.
• Identifies changes in patient status and communicates with the team.
• Participates in performance improvement and evidence-based practice.
