Job summary

Envision Imaging in Rockwall, TX is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to perform routine and diagnostic breast imaging with minimal supervision. The pay range is $35.48 - $45.74 per hour, reflecting a PRN/as-needed role.

The role emphasizes patient education, image quality, and coordination with Radiologists. You’ll operate in an outpatient setting with exposure controls and a focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Two plus years’ experience in Mammography – preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment.
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image. Also provides patient education on breast self-examination as needed.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior imaging as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs Mammography exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates procedure protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

ARRT certification

Mammography (M) registry

40 hours of mammography orientation

8 hours of 3D tomosynthesis training
