Job summary

Cenikor Foundation in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a PRN Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide professional nursing care in our short-term inpatient facility. The LVN will work closely with nursing, program and clinical staff to support clients' health needs and recovery.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care in electronic health records, conducting assessments, and coordinating with supervising physicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program required.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience required.
• Experience with substance abuse, mental health care preferred.
• Experience with CMBHS or other EHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide health services and professional nursing care for clients per procedure or physician orders.
• Coordinate client care with nurse manager and physician supervision.
• Receive, update and pass on shift reports.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments; monitor compliance.
• Act as charge nurse in absence of RN/Manager; liaise with management/physician as needed.
• Document and upload medications, orders, treatment plans, and nursing assessments to electronic health records.
