Job summary

Gateway Rehab Center in Washington, PA is seeking a PRN LPN or RN to provide direct patient nursing care on a flexible schedule. The role includes administering medications and delivering prescribed therapeutic treatments in a treatment-focused setting.

Scheduled shifts include 3pm–11pm and 7pm–11pm, with weekend and crisis coverage as needed. CPR certification and PA license are required, with preference for 2 years of nursing or critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform nursing interventions.
• Good judgement, decision making and leadership for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications.
• Carries out prescribed therapeutic treatments.
• Documents nursing observations and patient care rendered.
• Participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
• Intervenes in crises and emergency situations and provides admission triage.
• Coordinates with GRC departments as appropriate.
• Provides patient health education.
• Completes employee health duties.
• Intervenes in crises for all GRC departments during off hours.

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is looking for a PRN LPN or RN for our Washington, PA location. Schedule will be 3pm-11pm and 7pm-11pm. Our nurses provide direct patient nursing care which includes administering medication and carrying out therapeutic treatments.

• Administers medications.
• Carries out prescribed therapeutic treatments.
• Documents nursing observations and patient care rendered.
• Participates in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of nursing care.

• Coordinates with all GRC departments as appropriate.
• Provides patient health education.
• Completes employee health duties.
• Intervenes in crises for all GRC departments during off hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be skilled and physically able to perform necessary medical interventions when needed.
• Must demonstrate good judgement, decision making and leadership skills necessary to take responsibility for nursing-related patient care.

Requirements

• LPN or RN Licensure.
• CPR certified.

Preferred Requirements

• 2 years nursing experience
• Critical Care experience
• Additional Requirements
• Pass PA Criminal Background Check
• Obtain Child Abuse and FBI Clearances
• Pass Drug
• 2-Step TB Test
• Valid driver’s license with favorable driving record.
• CPR certification.
