Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments and documents nursing services.
• Ensures resident care plans are followed.
• Maintains safety and care of all residents in the unit.
• Counts controlled substances on the nursing unit.
• Records current condition of assigned resident.
• Gives shift change reports on residents.
• Communicates with the nursing team and medical providers as required.
• Assists in the orientation of new staff.
• Maintains CMS competency.
