Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is looking for a Full-time LPN or RN for our Westmoreland, PA location. Schedule will vary. Our nurses provide direct patient nursing care which includes administering medication and carrying out therapeutic treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Administers medications.
  • Carries out prescribed therapeutic treatments.
  • Documents nursing observations and patient care rendered.
  • Participates in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of nursing care.
  • Intervenes in crises and other emergency situations and provides admission phone triage.
  • Coordinates with all GRC departments as appropriate.
  • Provides patient health education.
  • Completes employee health duties.
  • Intervenes in crises for all GRC departments during off hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be skilled and physically able to perform necessary medical interventions when needed.
  • Must demonstrate the good judgement, decision making and leadership skills necessary to take responsibility for nursing-related patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a registered or practical nurse.
  • CPR Certification.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Two years’ experience in nursing field preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • PA Criminal Background Check.
  • Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
  • Pass Drug Screen.
  • TB Test.
  • CPR Certification.

Work Conditions:

  • Extended care facility treating those with substance use disorders.
