Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse PRN for our clinics in the United States. The role includes baseline clinical duties such as vital signs, EKGs, injections, and chart management.

You will support check-in/out processes and ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with occupational procedures. The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited LPN program with active state licensure and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing.
• Current Practical/Vocational nursing license in state of residency is required.
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is extremely helpful.
• The ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and collect lab specimens.
• Perform EKGs and administer IM injections.
• Manage patient charts and conduct regular chart audits.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart audits.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
• Follow occupational procedures per client preferences.
