Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Stephenville, TX is seeking an RN for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) on a PRN II basis. The role includes self-scheduling, 6:45PM–7:15AM shifts, and minimum 3 shifts per 6 weeks with weekend/holiday requirements.

The Center for Women and Infants offers patient‑focused care from admission to discharge in a 4‑bed LDRP unit. Required are an RN license, ADN/ Diploma (BSN preferred), BCLS, ACLS, AWHONN, NRP, NRPA, CPI.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• 1 year LDRP RN experience required.
• RN upon hire.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS within 90 days.
• AWHONN fetal monitoring within 18 months.
• NRP within 90 days.
• NRPA within 90 days.
• CPI training maintained annually.
• Strong confidentiality and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to triage, labor, deliver, circulate and recover patients, and support breastfeeding education.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care using the Nursing Process.
• Assess the patient.
• Plan the patient’s care.
• Intervene as needed.
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness.
• Apply age-appropriate safety and infection control measures.
• Initiate information for patients and families.
• Maintain continuity of care across shifts and during transfers.

Education

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

One-year RN experience

One year LDRP RN experience

RN - Registered Nurse on hire

BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support

ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support

AWHONN – Advanced Fetal Monitoring

NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program

NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention
